How To Achieve Glowing Skin Naturally May 12, 2020 – Posted in: Beauty – Tags: , , ,

Glowing skin is the holy grail of beauty. Make-up products try to replicate it, beauty creams promise it, and we all want it, don’t we? But how do we get it? And then keep it?

We want you to be aware that many conventional skincare and cosmetics contains synthetic ingredients. Although they give you the instant glow on your skin, it is a façade, a deception and it is not going to be long-lasting. In the long run, your skin health may be affected and your skin may become sensitive.

We recommend you the following “glow” skincare routine using only the most natural and organic ingredients that is free from harmful chemicals.

1. DOUBLE CLEANSE

Our skin is our largest organ, which protects our insides. We need to take steps to nourish and care for our skin, this outer shell. Do you know that on average women apply 168 chemicals to their body everyday? If we are not cleaning off these products properly then these products will build up in excess amounts, and can result in dull and unhealthy skin.

Ensuring you clean your face properly morning and night is a daily must, especially if you wear make-up. Even when it looks as though we have removed our makeup, it is not always the case; there may still be a thin layer or build up around the ears and neck.

Take your time when cleansing your face; be conscious of every part of your face and neck, and gently cleanse twice with pH balanced cleansers. For the first cleanse, use a cream cleanser to remove your make-up. For the second cleanse, use a gel cleanser for a more thorough refreshing cleanse without drying the skin.

Cleansing your face morning and night will leave you with healthy glowing skin.

2. EXFOLIATE

Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate. Humans lose around 500 million skin cells every day, meaning dead skin can build up pretty quickly. Dead skin cells need to be exfoliated away to avoid clogged pores, resulting in fewer breakouts and encourage new cells to grow, which in turn gives you healthy glowing skin. We suggest including a skin exfoliating regime 2-3 times a week for your face and entire body.

In the long run, exfoliating can increase collagen production. Collagen is key to glowing, vibrant skin. The protein also promotes skin elasticity, minimizing the appearance of fine lines and preventing sagging problem.

If you find your skin looking dull in the morning, exfoliating before you start your day may be beneficial. On the other hand, exfoliating at night can help remove any lingering makeup or other debris.

Exfoliation can leave your skin looking brighter and improve the effectiveness of your skin care products by enhancing absorption. View our selection of exfoliators here.

3. HYDRATE

It is important to ensure you hydrate your body both internally and externally. Dehydrated skin looks dull and tired. It is very common problem and you may even be unaware that your skin is lacking enough hydration. Topically apply hydrating natural products are a fantastic way to hydrate your skin more quickly than just upping your water intake. They help to restore your skin’s pH level, retain water, calm the skin and help to make your skin glow.

On a daily basis, use a hydrating toner, and follow with a hyaluronic serum. Finally, lock in the moisture with a suitable moisturiser.

Use a Hydrating Mask 2 to 3 times a week.

4. DETOX WITH MASK

Pollutants and dirt from the environment can clog your pores, and toxins from your diet can cause your complexion to suffer. Starting a regular detoxification routine can brighten skin and reduce acne and redness.

Once a week, use a Detoxifying Clay Mask, which is effective in drawing out toxins out of the skin, without leaving the skin feeling dry.

5. TREAT PIGMENTATION

If you have pigmentation, you may use a Spot Treatment Gel to lighten uneven skin tone.

Vitamin C inhibits tyrosinase, which is an enzyme important in the production of melanin from tyrosine. If a deficiency in Vitamin C is the cause of your pigmentation, you may supplement with Vitamin C (400mg) on a daily basis.

Every 2 days, use Esse Cream Mask, which contains high level vitamin C derivatives that inhibit tyrosinase.

Daily treatment serums, such as emerginC 20% Vitamin C Serum and 100% Pure Vitamin C Serum are good Vitamin C booster. emerginC Multi-Vitamin + Retinol Serum and 100% Pure Multi-Vitamin + Antioxidants Potent PM Serum contain Retinol and various vitamins, including Vitamin C, which brightens, supports collagen and elastin production, lessens the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and promotes firmness in skin.

Living Nature Active Brightening Serum is suitable for easily irritable skin.

Esse Ageless Serum firms the skin while effectively evens skin tone.

Esse Eye Contour Cream contains Bellis extract which has strong lightening and evening properties.

6. NOURISH & REPAIR WITH FACIAL OIL

A glowing skin is a skin that has been fed with nourishing food. Using facial oils such as Esse Repair Oil and Living Nature Ultimate Day Oil, which not only contains all the nutrients the skin needs, but also contains essential omega fatty acids that can help to aid skin regeneration and repair damaged tissue, while helping to even out skin tone and give it a healthy youthful glow.

7. APPLY A SUNSCREEN

We should not avoid the sun totally. We still need sunlight for its vitamin D boosting benefits. So, always wear a sunscreen with SPF 30 to protect your skin from the harsh sun rays, in order to prevent uneven skin tone.

We recommend you to use a physical sunscreen, because it works by physically blocking, instead of reacting with UVA and UVB rays. You see it being called mineral sunscreen, because it uses minerals like non-nano sized zinc oxide and titanium oxide to shield against UV rays.

8. USE NATURAL MAKE-UP

If you can’t do without make-up, at least you must use a non-comedogenic natural cosmetics which are formulated with ingredients that do not clog pores, as this can lead to acne.

But do you know that even if it is a natural cosmetic, its mineral formulation may still upset the balance of your skin microbiome, and will still lead to acne in the long run? We recommend you to use a skin microbiome-friendly cosmetic such as Esse Foundation which contains probiotics and prebiotic to make your skin more resilient, while still giving you a natural glowing skin.

9. TAKE A SKINCARE SUPPLEMENT

Samaya Ayurveda Skincare Supplements is 100% natural and vegan, containing beauty-boosting ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, CoQ10, Vitamin E and Vitamin C to promote the formation of collagen in your skin. Herbs, such as turmeric, triphala, gotu kola, help to improve digestion, reduce inflammation and boost immunity.
